Business Development Executive - Full Time

Job overview:

To increase sales revenue across the UK market whilst maintaining a healthy profit margin by bringing on new customers and account managing existing customers. Have an ability and desire to work alone as this role will involve regular travel throughout the UK. Also able to work as part of a team sharing best practice and helping to drive revenue across specifically the UK sales team but also other departments where applicable. Provide strategic plans to drive additional revenue and help to secure Redtronic’s position as a market leader.

Reports to: Sales & Marketing Director

Responsibilities
Customer Relations/ Sales:

  • Account management/growth of major UK customers, specifically large fleets, with a natural ability to build client relationships.
  • Able to create and manage plans for each account and ensure a strong relationship with clients.
  • Be willing to visit customers on site throughout the UK and occasionally stay away from home overnight.
  • To understand gaps and trends in the market place to identify and develop business with new potential customers.
  • Take a keen interest in learning the technical features/benefits of the full product range to confidently answer customer queries.
  • Promote and maintain a high level of communication across all business departments.
  • Identifying key areas for improvement in the sales process.
  • Attending key meetings with members of the sales team and other departments.
  • To be well presented and have a confident personality.
  • Excellent literacy and language skills.

Exhibitions:

  • Attend exhibitions / trade shows on behalf of the company and pro-actively follow up any leads generated.
  • Network and entertain key clients during unsociable hours (meals etc.)

Targets:

  • In first year, revenue target £300,000 (per annum) including existing customer accounts - (Annual bonus available if targets met, estimated between £2-5k)

Personal Specification:

Possess passion, drive and enthusiasm to be self-motivated and motivate others. Willing to spend the time to understand the products Redtronic supplies and be genuinely interested in the automotive sector and technology generally. Able to work unsupervised and be extremely organised with the ability to plan and prioritise workload. Display a positive attitude in all work situations and be approachable and open-minded to change. Dynamic and forward-thinking in order to strategically grow the business.

Skills required

  • Excellent verbal communication and literacy skills

  • Sales analysis using Microsoft excel. Target and identify trends in sales figures ensuring the company is benefiting from highest possible turnover potential.

  • Confident use of Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook.
